Easy Faux Shiplap Accent Wall

How-To video below shows you how to turn a plain wall into a beautiful accent wall using a faux shiplap. I was really surprised at how much of a difference adding an accent wall makes in our bedroom. We used a table saw to cut 1/4" plywood into 5 1/8" strips to make the shiplap look. Well, it's not actually shiplap, it's just strips of 1/4 inch plywood that looks like shiplap once it is put on the wall. It is so easy to make this faux shiplap wall using minimal tools and supplies. If you don't have a tablesaw, you can still do this project using a circular saw with a circular saw guide like the Kreg Ripcut. We were originally intended to paint the shiplap white, but once it was up we decided that the natural look of the wood was too beautiful to paint. We painted the other walls using Sherwin Williams wall paint in the color called Knitting Needles which is a gray color.
